In 1984, local entrepreneur and businessman Phil Fettig established Kadet Products, Inc. At that time, Kadet focused primarily on stripping, cleaning, and refurbishing all types of engine components, castings, machine tools and industrial equipment. Through the years, Kadet expanded its horizons into other areas of industrial service, including machining, welding, and rebuilding of industrial components for a wide array of industries.
